Christina Edwards is an entrepreneur, cosmetology educator, workforce-development advocate, and community-centered beauty industry leader who transforms ambitious ideas into opportunities for students, professionals, and families.

As the founder of Sweet Growth Salon, Sweet Growth Incubator, and Generation Glow, Christina works at the intersection of beauty, education, confidence, belonging, and economic mobility. Her newest venture, Generation Glow, is an inclusive beauty, retail, education, and social destination designed to help young people and their families learn, connect, celebrate, and express themselves in an environment created with their needs in mind.

Christina also serves as a cosmetology instructor at Laney College, where she prepares emerging professionals for successful careers while building bridges between education and industry. Her work with the Sephora Scholars program has helped students access scholarships, professional development, merchandise, mentorship, and internships that can change the course of their careers.

Before entering higher education, Christina developed deep experience in entrepreneurship, salon operations, training, safety, and organizational leadership. She brings that broad perspective to every project, combining visionary thinking with a commitment to practical opportunity and measurable impact.

Her mission is to build profitable, culturally relevant businesses that create jobs, develop future leaders, strengthen families, and expand who gets to experience beauty as a source of confidence and possibility.
